Did you know the MD-80 has an emergency exit in the tail?

Most airlines in the medium size category have 8 emergency exits; two up front, four over the wings and two in the back. However, the MD-80 does not have two exits in the aft part of the fuselage, only one. Instead, the 8th exit is located in the tail. In fact, during an emergency evacuation the whole tailcone is ejected from the fuselage. See this demonstration video.
